COVID-19 Pandemic: Donation of $1,000, Snacks and Hot Food to the Hands of Hope Food Pantry in Edison, NJ

In continuation of its efforts to ensure the needs of the community are met during the trying times of the COVID-19 pandemic, BAPS Charities donated $1,000 to the community-based Hands of Hope Food Pantry in Edison, NJ on May 17, 2020.  In addition to the financial contribution, BAPS Charities also provided hot food packages and over 6,000 packets of Frito Lay Chips among other snacksBAPS Charities has provided hot food to the pantry since April.

The donation will help the pantry in its efforts to ensure that those suffering from hunger in the local vicinity are provided. As joblessness due to the effects of the pandemic increases, programs and efforts to help those in need have increased. BAPS Charities is taking an active role in communities across the US to help organizations like Hands of Hope provide basic necessities to those most affected by this pandemic. Middlesex County Freeholder Charles Tomaro accepted the donation on behalf of the Hands of Hope Pantry and expressed his gratitude for the donation.
