COVID-19 Pandemic: BAPS Charities Supports Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital with $5,000 and hot snacks for healthcare providers.

On April 9, 2020, BAPS Charities showed their support for the incredible work taking place at the Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital by donating $5,000 to the medical system’s foundation as well as providing 500 hot snacks, and 1500 water bottles for the brave healthcare professionals and staff working around the clock in these unprecedented times.

Chris Siebenaler, CEO and regional senior vice president of the Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital,  wrote an email thanking BAPS Charities, “On behalf of Houston Methodist, I want to thank you and BAPS Charities for your generous donation.”

In addition to the financial support, the volunteers from BAPS Charities, in collaboration with BAPS Shayona, displayed their gratitude to the brave healthcare professionals, administration and volunteers by delivering hot pre-packaged snacks to the hospital.   Following government guidelines, strict adherence to proper sanitary practices in preparing, packaging, and delivering the food was maintained by all of the volunteers involved.

David Mrema RN at the Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital thanked BAPS Charities for the wonderful snacks and commented, “Very delicious samosas, I really enjoyed it!!”

Volunteers in BAPS Charities locations throughout the world continue to evaluate situations and effectively provide support through supplying masks, food packets to medical providers and emergency responders, food and grocery supply to the poor, and providing support for the elderly and susceptible.
