Hurricane Harvey Relief Work – September 1-2, 2017

Sept 1:
As the floods in some parts of Houston began to recede, Port Arthur and Beaumont area began to flood and it lost access to clean water. Over 50 volunteers prepared to provide relief efforts as they continued serving hot meals in the Houston area. The volunteers collected essential debris removal materials to help flooded individuals on the path of recovery.

Sept 2:
Saturday morning began with 15 volunteers preparing meals for 375 flooded Beaumont residents. A group of volunteers packed a cargo truck with 5 pallets of water and food to deliver to the Beaumont / Port Arthur area. Volunteers in the Houston area began to contact residents that needed assistance with their water-damaged homes. The cleanup process started with volunteers taking out wet carpets at homes and other buildings in Clear Lake, Texas.
