BAPS Charities Donates $75,000 to Susan G. Komen to Help Eradicate Breast Cancer

BAPS Charities supported Susan G. Komen’s mission to eradicate Breast Cancer through In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run, a series of walkathons hosted by BAPS Charities in 72 centers across the country. On September 23, 2022, BAPS Charities presented a check for $75,000 to Susan G. Komen. The event was attended by over 150 volunteers, contributors, beneficiary representatives, and friends of BAPS Charities.

Sarah Rosales, VP of Corporate Partnerships for Susan G. Komen, “The long-standing partnership with BAPS Charities is making an impact, and I thank BAPS Charities volunteers for the incredible donation.”

Mayor Cecil Willis Jr., from the City of Stafford, joined the ceremony. He noted, “We are glad to have BAPS Charities in our community. It is always great to see all the activities they carry out throughout the year.” In addition, Stafford City Council member Alice Chen and Congressman Troy Nehls’ office representatives appreciated the volunteers’ efforts.

Nimisha Patel of Houston, Texas, a volunteer of BAPS Charities and a breast cancer survivor, said, “I am excited that these two organizations that I strongly support are working together to help as many people as possible. It means a lot to me that BAPS Charities is helping other women fight the same battle I fought.”

Dr. Purvi Desai shared on behalf of volunteers, “Since 2020, BAPS Charities has donated $150,000 to Susan G Komen. Today, I am so happy the countless hours put in by volunteers to raise funds and organize the walk will help breast cancer patients nationwide.”
