BAPS Charities Walk-Run 2025 in Jackson, MS

On June 8, 2025, BAPS Charities brought the community together in Jackson, MS, for its annual “Spirit of Service: Walk-Run.” This inspiring event encouraged participants to step forward in support of the American Cancer Society, raising awareness in the fight against cancer while promoting service, compassion, and community well-being.

With over 350 participants, the event welcomed individuals of all ages, including Mr. Monty Permenter, Senior Development Manager at the American Cancer Society; Senator John Horhn of District 26; and City Councilman Dr. Brian Grizzell, all of whom joined in solidarity for the cause.

Reflecting on the day’s impact, Monty Permenter shared, “Efforts by BAPS Charities are deeply appreciated, and this generous donation will help us continue the fight against cancer.”

The BAPS Charities Walk-Run in Jackson is one of over 100 similar events held across North America as part of a broader initiative supporting local organizations. For over 20 years, BAPS Charities has organized more than 1,100 walks, making a meaningful impact by championing important causes and fostering a spirit of service and unity.
