Earth Day 2025 in Long Island, NY

In celebration of the 55th anniversary of Earth Day—the world’s largest environmental movement—over a billion people globally united to promote sustainability and environmental protection. In Long Island, New York, more than 30 dedicated volunteers gathered on April 19, 2025, to mark this meaningful occasion by planting shrubs and trees, contributing to a greener and more vibrant community.

Organized by BAPS Charities, the event focused on tangible environmental action, including efforts to reduce single-use plastics, minimize plastic waste, and conserve water. Volunteers also collected trash from the surrounding areas, demonstrating a shared commitment to keeping the local environment clean and healthy.
