BAPS Charities donates to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum

BAPS Charities has donated $250,000 at the Founding Sponsor level to the National September 11  Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center site.  September 11, 2001 shall forever remain one of the most important events of modern history, carrying forward for generations deep-rooted sentiments of anguish, pain and loss but also  perseverance, hope and freedom.

The 9/11 Memorial is a symbol of strength and perseverance of the American spirit. The Memorial has had more than 6 million visitors since opening in September 2011. The Memorial includes two enormous reflection pools that feature 30-foot waterfalls and sit within the footprints of the Twin Towers. The pools are ringed with bronze inscribed with the names of the nearly 3,000 men, women and children killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993.

The 9/11 Memorial Museum, which is under construction, will display monumental artifacts linked to the events of 9/11, while presenting intimate stories of loss, compassion, reckoning and recovery.

BAPS Charities’ donation will support the Memorial and the Museum.

BAPS Charities, looks to support the mission of the Memorial to not only remember the victims and honor the rescue workers but to educate the future generations of the consequences of hatred and violence. BAPS Charities shares the grief and anguish of the families and acknowledges the significance of the National September 11 Memorial and Museum and its positive effects on the greater society.
