In the wake of Hurricane Milton’s devastating impact, BAPS Charities mobilized quickly to support first responders in Orlando, FL. Acknowledging the unwavering dedication of emergency personnel, BAPS Charities extended its outreach to 60 fire stations across Orange, Lake, and Polk Counties, delivering specially prepared care packages.
Seventy-five volunteers from BAPS Charities came together, contributing over 600 hours to assemble and distribute 450 care packs. Each package was thoughtfully filled with essential supplies to aid and uplift the firefighters and emergency teams on the front lines.
The initiative also recognized the critical efforts of powerline repair crews who worked around the clock to restore essential services. Many of these utility workers received care packages as a token of appreciation for their commitment and resilience in the hurricane’s aftermath.
