On June 1, 2025, BAPS Charities brought the community together in Orlando, FL, for its annual “Spirit of Service: Walk-Run.” This inspiring event encouraged participants to step forward in support of BASE Camp Children’s Cancer Foundation, raising awareness for childhood cancer while promoting service and well-being.
With nearly 650 participants, the event welcomed individuals of all ages, including Michael Scott, District 6 Commissioner, and Gordan Scott Johnson, a member of the Board of Directors for BASE Camp, who joined in solidarity for the cause. Reflecting on the day’s impact, Michael Scott shared, “Regardless of where we’re from and what our faith is, at the end of the day we’re a community and we’re a family…”
The BAPS Charities Walk-Run in Orlando is one of over 100 similar events held across North America as part of a broader initiative benefiting local organizations. For over 20 years, BAPS Charities has organized more than 1,000 walks, making a meaningful impact by supporting important causes and promoting a spirit of service and unity in communities across the continent.
