BAPS Charities Walk-Run 2025 in Pittsburgh, PA

On June 1, 2025, BAPS Charities brought the community together in Pittsburgh, PA, for its annual Spirit of Service: Walk-Run. This inspiring event encouraged participants to step forward in support of the Kennedy Township Police Department.

With over 200 participants, the event welcomed individuals of all ages, including Pennsylvania State Senator Devlin Robinson (District 37), Council Representative Michelle Naccarati-Chapkis (District 8), and former Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, who joined in solidarity for the cause. Reflecting on the day’s impact, Sergeant Giancarlo Desimone from the Kennedy Township Police Department shared, “The generous donation will help us build a monument for our local area first responders.”

This BAPS Charities Walk-Run in Pittsburgh is one of over 100 similar events held across North America as part of a broader initiative benefiting local organizations. For over 20 years, BAPS Charities has organized more than 1,100 walks, making a meaningful impact in communities by supporting important causes and promoting a spirit of service and unity.
