BAPS Charities Food Drive 2025 in Portland, OR

BAPS Charities organizes a variety of community service initiatives that support local communities across North America. These efforts reflect BAPS Charities’ ongoing commitment to service and its partnerships with local organizations to make a meaningful impact.

During the fall and winter holiday season, BAPS Charities volunteers organized several initiatives to support families and individuals in need, including food drives, coat drives, flu vaccination clinics, toy drives, and school supply drives. Each effort not only provided tangible assistance but also fostered unity and compassion among volunteers and recipients alike. Across North America, these projects were tailored to address the specific needs of local communities.

BAPS Charities held its annual food drive on November 16, 2025, in Portland, OR, benefiting Packed with Pride. Volunteers of all ages collected more than 1,400 lbs of canned and dry food items for local families in need. BAPS Charities also made a $1,125 donation, which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the City of Tigard.  We would like to express our deep appreciation to Oregon State Representative Ben Bowman, Representative Dr. Sue Rieke Smith, City of Tigard Mayor Yi-Kang Hu, Councilor Heather Robbins, and Councilor Jake Schlack for their continued support and for braving the rain to stand with our community.
