On June 1, 2024, BAPS Charities hosted its annual “In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run” in San Antonio, TX, to support Alzheimer’s Association. The walk united local community members in a collective effort to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease and the work of the Alzheimer’s Association.
This year, nearly 211 community members, including Councilman John Courage and Anna Schragin, San Antonio Alzheimer’s Association Walk Manager, joined the effort to support Alzheimer’s Association and their mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia- by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. The event showcased a broad spectrum of participation, from youth to seniors, united for a common cause.
The event not only provided an opportunity for participants to engage in living a healthier lifestyle but also served as a reminder of the profound impact collective efforts can have in addressing local needs and challenges.
