COVID-19 Pandemic: Packaged Food Donation to Milpitas Unified School District in Milpitas, CA

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, food accessibility is a growing challenge across the nation. To provide support to families in need, BAPS Charities donated 3,000 packaged food items to Milpitas Unified School district on Wednesday, May 6, 2020.  

The Milpitas Unified School District is providing Grab & Go Meals to resident families in need during this pandemic. Ms. Cheryl Jordan, Superintendent of Milpitas Unified School District, accepted the donation on behalf of the school district. Milpitas City Council Member Karina Dominguez was also present with BAPS Charities volunteers and appreciated the efforts of BAPS Charities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Board of Milpitas Unified School District also thanked BAPS Charities.

BAPS Charities is grateful to its volunteers for helping to keep the community healthy. Beyond the recent donation, BAPS Charities has organized and implemented several online awareness campaigns for the community on how to stay healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
