COVID-19 Pandemic: Packaged Food Donation to Fremont Unified School District in Fremont, CA

With many businesses closed in the Silicon Valley and extended shelter-in-place order, food accessibility has become a major concern for many families. BAPS Charities has been at the forefront of helping the local communities, hospitals, school districts, healthcare workers, and first responders who are fighting COVID-19 pandemic.

On Monday, May 4, 2020, BAPS Charities donated 2,800 packaged food items to the Fremont Unified School District. The Fremont Unified School District is providing local residents in need with meals to families during this pandemic. Ms. Karen Miller, Supervisor of Child Nutrition Services, accepted the donation and thanked BAPS Charities on behalf of Fremont Unified School District.

BAPS Charities is grateful to its volunteers for helping to keep the community healthy. Beyond the recent donation, BAPS Charities has organized and implemented several online awareness campaigns for the community on how to stay healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
