BAPS Charities Walk-Run 2025 in Dublin, CA

On June 7, 2025, BAPS Charities brought the community together in Dublin, CA, for its annual “Spirit of Service: Walk-Run.” This inspiring event encouraged participants of all ages to step forward in support of education initiatives at the Dublin Unified School District and Sunol Glen Unified School District.

The event welcomed individuals of all ages, including representatives from Assemblymember Liz Ortega’s office, Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert, Dublin City Mayor Sherry Hu, Dublin City Councilmember Jean Josey, Chris Funk, Superintendent of Dublin Unified School District, and Shay Galletti, Superintendent-Principal of Sunol Glen Unified School District, who joined in solidarity for this meaningful cause.

Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert expressed his admiration, stating, “I deeply admire BAPS Charities for their enduring commitment to generosity and positive impact.”Reflecting on the day’s impact, Chris Funk, Superintendent of Dublin Unified School District, shared, “On behalf of the board of education, I want to thank BAPS Charities for supporting the mental health, mindfulness, and yoga program in the Dublin Unified School District.” Shay Galletti, Superintendent-Principal of Sunol Glen Unified School District, added, “Even though we serve only 240 students, their needs are just as important as those in larger districts. With these funds, we will continue to expand our health and wellness center to better support our students.”

This Walk-Run is one of over 100 similar events held across North America as part of BAPS Charities’ broader initiative benefiting local organizations. Over the past 20 years, BAPS Charities has organized more than 1,100 walks, making a lasting impact in communities by supporting vital causes and promoting a spirit of service and unity.
