Blood donation is crucial, with someone needing blood every two seconds worldwide. Patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, or trauma frequently require transfusions, and a single car accident victim might need up to 100 pints of blood. Blood banks often face chronic shortages, worsened by crises like natural disasters and pandemics. Regular blood donations save lives and foster a sense of community spirit and collective responsibility.
BAPS Charities responded to this call to action by organizing a blood drive in Tampa, Florida, on September 7, 2025. In total, 121 pints of blood were collected, potentially saving up to 363 lives.
This initiative reflects BAPS Charities’ ongoing dedication to advancing the health and well-being of the greater community.
