On June 7, 2025, BAPS Charities brought the community together in Virginia Beach, VA, for its annual “Spirit of Service: Walk-Run.” This inspiring event encouraged participants to step forward in support of Connect With a Wish, raising awareness of the organization’s mission to grant a wish to every child in Virginia foster care—while promoting service and community well-being.
With over 190 participants, the event welcomed individuals of all ages, including State Senator Aaron Rouse and E. Kai Parks, Vice President of Atlantic Union Bank, who joined in solidarity for the cause. Reflecting on the day’s impact, Lauren Tremper, Executive Director of Connect With a Wish, shared her appreciation for the event and its impact on the foster care community.
This BAPS Charities Walk-Run is one of over 100 similar events held across North America as part of a broader initiative supporting local organizations. For over 20 years, BAPS Charities has organized more than 1,100 walks, making a meaningful impact by championing important causes and fostering a spirit of service and unity.
