Since our founding in 1946, the Redmond Fire Department has striven to develop its solid reputation for serving the community members of greater Redmond. From fire suppression and emergency medical services, to rescue and hazardous materials response, the department works diligently to meet the changing needs of our community. Our mission is to continuously protect and preserve life and property through quality education, prevention, disaster preparedness, and rapid emergency response within our 45 square mile service area which includes the City of Redmond and the surrounding area of unincorporated King County within King County Fire District 34.
