As Johannesburg recently experienced it’s coldest winter in over a decade, BAPS Charities took the initiative of providing approximately 2300 hospital grade blankets to three leading government hospitals in the city.
Volunteers from BAPS Charities were warmly received by the CEOs of the Helen Joseph, Raheema Moosa and Chris Hani Baragwanath hospitals. Hospital management commended the efforts of BAPS Charities and the quality of blankets provided. At the Raheema Moosa Hospital, hospital management and BAPS Charities volunteers also exchanged ideas on future collaboration and community development in an hour long discussion.
This initiative was especially appreciated given the strain government facilities have taken due to the third wave of the COVID-19 virus in Gauteng province.
