This December, BAPS Charities helped bring the joy of the festive season to children in need by organising a large-scale toy donation drive across Melbourne.
Understanding that every child deserves the excitement of opening a gift on Christmas morning, young and old volunteers mobilised to collect and distribute over 450 new toys to vulnerable kids.
To ensure these gifts reached the children who needed them most, BAPS Charities partnered with two incredible local organisations: Big Group Hug and Backpack 4 VIC Kids. The initiative covered three key regions, with donations tailored to the needs of each area.
The total collection across all regions featured a diverse range of items designed to encourage play and creativity:
- 210 Board games for family bonding
- 100 Fidget toys for sensory play
- 50 Lego sets to spark creativity
- 50 Soccer balls for outdoor fun
- 48 Water guns for summer enjoyment
BAPS Charities is deeply grateful to both Big Group Hug and Backpack 4 VIC Kids for their partnership. Through this collaboration, over 450 toys are now making their way to children across Victoria, serving as a symbol of care, hope and community spirit during the holiday season.
