BAPS Charities Walk-Run 2026 in Tracy, CA

As America prepares to commemorate its 250th anniversary, BAPS Charities hosted the 2026 Spirit of Service Walk-Run, uniting more than 50,000 participants across over 100 cities in the United States and Canada in support of local nonprofit organizations. The nationwide initiative helped launch the America250 celebrations by putting community service and civic pride into action.

On May 31, 2026, the inaugural BAPS Charities Walk-Run in Tracy, CA, brought together community members for a day dedicated to service, health, and community engagement. The event encouraged individuals and families to come together in support of Save The Bay, helping raise awareness for the protection and restoration of the San Francisco Bay and its surrounding ecosystems.

Participants of all ages took part in the walk-run, reflecting the community’s shared commitment to service and giving back. The event also welcomed distinguished guests, including Assemblymember Rhodesia Ransom and Mountain House Councilmember Bernice King-Tingle, who joined volunteers and supporters in demonstrating their commitment to community service and environmental stewardship.

Reflecting on the impact of the event, Assemblymember Rhodesia Ransom shared, “Protecting our Bay and strengthening our communities requires all of us working together. It was inspiring to see so many families and young people participate, demonstrating the spirit of service that makes our region stronger.”

As the first-ever BAPS Charities Walk-Run held in Tracy, the event marked an important milestone in expanding opportunities for community engagement and volunteerism in the region. Through events such as the Walk-Run, BAPS Charities continues to inspire individuals to lead healthier lives while strengthening communities through service, volunteerism, and civic engagement. The partnership with Save The Bay further highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship and collective action in preserving the natural resources that benefit future generations.

Through more than 1,200 walkathons organized over the past two decades, BAPS Charities has supported meaningful causes while fostering unity, compassion, and well-being in communities. As America250 approaches, the BAPS Charities Walk-Run demonstrates how volunteerism and civic engagement can bring communities together and inspire future generations.
