On September 20, 2026, BAPS Charities hosted the Leadership Summit at the BAPS Complex in Toronto, ON, bringing together youth between the ages of 14 and 25, parents, and working professionals for a day focused on education, career development, and personal growth.
Centered around the theme “Be the Best,” the summit encouraged attendees to strive for well-rounded growth academically, professionally, personally, and spiritually. The day featured a common session and career panel, followed by interactive career booths where participants had the opportunity to connect directly with experienced professionals, ask questions, and explore a wide range of educational and career pathways.
The career panel brought together professionals from diverse backgrounds who shared their personal journeys and perspectives on success. Speakers emphasized that success does not always follow a single or traditional path and encouraged youth to remain open-minded as they explore the many opportunities and directions available to them.
Through the career booths and networking sessions, youth engaged directly with professionals across fields including healthcare, engineering and technology, finance and accounting, education, legal and compliance, entrepreneurship, trades, design and media, and more. These conversations provided practical insights into educational pathways, day-to-day careers, industry challenges, and the skills needed to grow and succeed. The summit also emphasized the importance of mentorship, genuine networking, and building meaningful professional relationships.
Participants received practical guidance on resume development, interview preparation, networking, selecting educational pathways, and navigating university and college applications. Dedicated discussions also provided parents with resources and perspectives to help them support their children through important educational and career decisions while maintaining strong family and traditional foundations.
Beyond academic and professional development, the summit reinforced that “being the best” is about continuous personal growth and giving one’s best effort in whatever path one chooses. Participants were encouraged to take advantage of the guidance and support available through their families, mentors, and community.
The Leadership Summit reflects BAPS Charities’ ongoing commitment to empowering youth and families through mentorship, leadership development, educational guidance, and community engagement. By creating opportunities for young people to learn from experienced professionals, develop practical skills, and build meaningful connections, BAPS Charities continues to support the development of confident, well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to their families, communities, and society.
