BAPS Charities donates to Canadian Hospitals

In the spirit of service to the community, BAPS Charities proudly presented cheques to the following hospitals to support their life-saving work:

Sick Kids Foundation

The Hospital for Sick Children is recognized as one of the world’s foremost pediatric health-care institutions and is Canada’s leading centre dedicated to advancing children’s health through the integration of patient care, research and education. 

The donation by BAPS Charities will support the new $400 million Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning, a 21 storey research tower believed to be the largest child health research tower in the world.

Ted Gerrard, President & CEO, Sick Kids Foundation accepted cheque saying. “On behalf of Sick Kids thanks to you and the BAPS Charities for your continued support of Sick Kids.  We very much appreciate our relationship with you and look forward to it continuing into the future.”

The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation

The Princess Margaret Hospital has achieved an international reputation as a global leader in the fight against cancer and is considered one of the top comprehensive cancer treatment and research centres in the world. 

The donation by BAPS Charities will support the hospital’s Billion Dollar Challenge for Personalized Cancer Care, the largest single fundraising campaign in the history of Canadian healthcare.

Accepting the cheque on behalf of the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation was Laura Syron, VP, Princess Margaret Hospital, who sincerely appreciate the support of BAPS Charities in the fight against cancer.

The Scarborough Hospital Foundation

The donation by BAPS Charities to the Scarborough Hospital Foundation will support state of the art medical equipment and building projects for The Scarborough Hospital.

Accepting the cheque on behalf of The Scarborough Hospital Foundation were, Robert Biron, CEO, The Scarborough Hospital and Guy Bonnell, VP, Community Development, The Scarborough Hospital Foundation.

We look forward to partnering with BAPS Charities to continue our collective efforts – building strong communities, build strong hospitals”.

Across Canada

  • In the spirit of service to the community, BAPS Charities also made a contribution to the Calgary Disaster Relief Fund to support those affected by the massive flooding in Calgary in 2013  and made a donation to The Stollery Children’s Hospital in Alberta in support of children’s health.
