On April 15, 2020, BAPS Charities showed their support for the incredible work taking place at the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center by donating $5,000.00 in unrestricted funds to its foundation as well as providing 1,500 nutritious vegetarian hot meals, 2000 pre-packaged snacks and hundreds of bottled beverages for the brave healthcare professionals and staff working around the clock in these unprecedented times.

Writing on behalf of the Pomona Valley Medical Center Foundation, Digna Macias wrote an email thanking BAPS Charities “for the gift of $5,000.00. This gift will be directed to our COVID-19 Fund and [will] be used where most needed during this extraordinary period. We are grateful for your generosity.”

In addition to the financial support, the volunteers from BAPS Charities, in collaboration with BAPS Shayona, displayed their gratitude to the brave healthcare professionals, administration and volunteers by delivering hot meals and pre-packaged snacks to the hospital.   Following government guidelines, strict adherence to proper sanitary practices in preparing, packaging and delivering the food was maintained by all of the volunteers involved.
