BAPS Charities Supports Tree Planting at Malava Forest, Kakamega Kenya – September, 2026

On 25th September 2026, a tree-planting activity was held at Malava Forest Station in Kakamega Forest. The activity aimed to support the rehabilitation of 30 hectares of Malava Forest Block.

The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) organised the initiative in partnership with BAPS Charities and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). It supports efforts to increase forest cover and meet the national target of planting 15 billion trees by 2032.

BAPS Charities also supported the activity in the planting excercise and by providing refreshments for the participants. The contribution included 45 bales of water, 45 crates of sodas, and 45 crates of bread.

The tree planting brought together various stakeholders and participants who joined hands to restore the forest. Their efforts will help protect the environment and support the ecological benefits provided by forests.

The activity also highlighted the importance of working together to care for the environment. Through its support, BAPS Charities contributed to this meaningful conservation effort.

BAPS Charities remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote environmental sustainability and service to the community.
