In response to the recent devastating earthquakes in Nepal, BAPS Charities South Africa has donated a sum of R20,000 (USD1700) to the Embassy of Nepal in South Africa. The funds donated will be used by the Nepalese government to support local relief operations in the affected areas. The Embassy launched a fund raising initiative where the public was encouraged to donate funds that will be sent to the Prime Minister’s Earthquake Relief Fund in Nepal. The Embassy expressed their sincere gratitude to BAPS Charities for the donation received.
