India has experienced unprecedented suffering whilst the world has scrambled to help the nation’s efforts in stemming the deaths due to the second wave of the mutating COVID-19 virus.
BAPS Charities South Africa worked closely with African and global chapters of BAPS Charities in ensuring an initial shipment of life-sustaining oxygen concentrators made their way to India. The concerted effort of BAPS Charities Africa has meant that 123 oxygen concentrators have been dispatched for India.
The contributions of the public in a matter of days has been overwhelming. Yet, we extend a request for contributions to continue as we strive to send more consignments of oxygen concentrators to India. Whilst the situation may gradually stabilise in India, the need for support from all quarters remains.
We remain resolute in doing more.
