Community Volleyball Tournament: Sahajanand Cup 2026 – UK

BAPS Charities hosted the annual community indoor volleyball tournament in the UK at the National Volleyball Centre in Kettering, bringing together teams from across the country for a day of competitive and friendly sport.

This year’s event saw over 60 teams and more than 400 participants take part, demonstrating remarkable athleticism, sportsmanship, and teamwork throughout the competition. The energy and enthusiasm from players and supporters alike helped make the day truly memorable.

The tournament was divided into two main competitions. In the Ekantik Cup, South East London B emerged as champions, with Shayona A finishing as runners-up after a series of exciting matches. Meanwhile, in the Sahajanand Cup, South East London A lifted the trophy, and Wellingborough B secured a well-deserved second place.

What made the 2026 tournament especially meaningful was a new initiative encouraging all participants to connect with players from other teams and learn a positive quality about them. This simple yet powerful activity helped foster interaction, nurture friendships, and build a strong sense of group learning among everyone involved.

More than just a competition, the Sahajanand Cup continues to celebrate health, fitness, and community spirit, illustrating how sport can bring people together across towns and cities throughout the UK.
