On June 1, 2025, BAPS Charities brought the community together in Parsippany, NJ, for its annual Spirit of Service: Walk-Run. This inspiring event encouraged participants to step forward in support of the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital and the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, raising awareness for cancer and cardiovascular care while promoting service and well-being.
With over 400 participants, the event welcomed individuals of all ages, including Parsippany Mayor James R. Barberio, who joined in solidarity for the cause. Reflecting on the day’s impact, Jigisha Kothari from the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital shared, “Events like the BAPS Charities walkathon help raise awareness and make it possible to conduct hundreds of cancer screenings and provide free treatment to patients.”
This BAPS Charities Walk-Run is one of over 100 similar events held across North America as part of a broader initiative benefiting local organizations. For over 20 years, BAPS Charities has organized more than 1,100 walks, making a meaningful impact in communities by supporting important causes and promoting a spirit of service and unity.
