On Saturday 26th April, 2025, BAPS Charities Leads Tree Planting Initiative in Lari, Kenya to Promote Sustainability and Community Wellness.
An inspiring tree planting initiative was organised across three schools in Lari, Kiambu County, Kenya — PCEA Kamuchege School, Muthandi School, and Wangware School. This impactful exercise brought together volunteers, students, and educators to promote environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
With support from local conservation partner KENVO and seedling donations generously provided by Vegpro Group, volunteers and students planted hundreds of avocado trees across the school compounds. The initiative was designed not only to green the environment but also to contribute to long-term food support and income-generating opportunities for the schools.
Students actively participated in the activity, gaining hands-on experience and a deeper appreciation for the role of trees in supporting both environmental health and community well-being.
“This is more than just planting trees — it’s about planting hope and responsibility,” shared a School Head teacher. “By involving students, we’re nurturing a generation that values nature and community welfare.”
The event reflects BAPS Charities’ ongoing commitment to serving society through initiatives that uplift communities and promote a healthier, more sustainable future.
