BAPS Charities hosted an inspiring and informative Career Fair in Houston on Saturday, August 30, 2025, bringing together over 200 attendees, including students, parents, and young professionals, to explore valuable career opportunities and receive guidance.
The fair featured over 35 professional specialties spanning healthcare, engineering, business, finance, law, information technology, and more. Attendees engaged directly with experts and practitioners, who offered valuable guidance on career pathways, higher education options, and professional entry processes.
In addition to the career fair, the event included dedicated workshops on college applications and career planning. A professional headshot photobooth provided students and professionals with high-quality photos for resumes, applications, and LinkedIn profiles.
Parents and students took advantage of the opportunity to ask one-on-one questions to gain in-depth knowledge in the areas of medical residencies, engineering tracks, IT certifications, finance careers, and law programs. Attendee Krish Panchal remarked, “As a biology major, the career fair allowed me to connect with physicians from radiology, internal medicine, neurology, and gastroenterology, along with a current medical school student, which gave me insight into many different specialties.” Professionals also shared personal insights on balancing career success with integrity, service, and spirituality.
The event had palpable energy filled with interest, mentorship, and encouragement. Nirja Patel, a high school senior and aspiring aerospace engineer, reflected, “The career fair clarified some confusion I had on the college application process. It also helped being able to meet and hear experiences from female engineers.” High school parent Jignesh Patel shared, “Connecting with other parents and understanding our role in supporting our children’s educational path was truly invaluable.”
The fair concluded with participants leaving with a refined sense of direction, confidence, and motivation. The event reinforced BAPS Charities’ ongoing commitment to supporting today’s youth with academic and career guidance.
