On 9 October 2026, BAPS Charities Kenya visited Missionaries of the Poor. The team spent time with 51 children with special needs under their care.
The team donated food, daily necessities, and hygiene supplies. These items will support the children’s needs and those of the brothers who care for them. The food donation included green grams, beans, maize flour, wheat flour, rice, cooking fat, and salt. Biscuits and masala tea were also provided.
The team donated essential supplies as well. These included adult and baby diapers, sanitary pads, toilet paper, bathing soap, liquid detergent, bleach, toothpaste, and Arimis lotion. Other household items were also included.
The food donated can provide approximately 645 balanced meals for the children. The biscuits and tea will serve as additional refreshments. The hygiene supplies and diapers will help meet the children’s daily care needs. These contributions will also ease some of the Home’s expenses.
The brothers received the donation with great joy and gratitude. They were deeply touched by the team’s thoughtful gesture.
